The US Soccer Team

Through the last ten years, the American soccer or football team has seen some of the most talented players that are available. Through the many players that have come about through the American team and many of these players have been sought after by international teams. Through the many players that have been discovered, the US Soccer team has grown to be stronger than ever.

Through this strength that has been created, the US has again qualified for the world cup. In previous years, there have only been two instances when the team has been qualified for the world cup. Through these instances, that was in 2006 and 2002. In the year 2002, the team actually had made it to the quarter finals within the competition. This is the farthest that the team has yet to make it while competing in the world cup.

Three CONCACAF Gold Cups have also been won by the popular American team through the years of 2002, 2005 and 2007. Through these competitions, the players developed a sense of camaraderie and a sense of the game that could rival other top teams within the league.

As one of the shining moments within the team, through the 2009 championship, the team was able to step up and break a thirty five game winning streak that was created by Spain, by beating the team through a part in the competition. This topped off the past decade in which American players have been stronger than ever.
